The first step on the road to your personal salvation is to

Believe

That Jesus Christ is the Son of God

In Romans 10:10 Paul says that

it is with your heart that you believe and are justified…”

The Apostle John recorded that

God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16)

If you believe in Jesus, scroll down …

The second step on the road to your personal salvation is to

Repent

of past sin

In Acts 17:30 Paul says

In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent”

Sin separates us from God, and we are lost (Romans 6:23)

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”

Everyone has sinned (1 John 1:8)

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us”

Do you want to repent of your sin?

If so, read on…

The third step on the road to your personal salvation is to

Confess

Jesus as the Son of God

Jesus said “if you confess me before men, I will confess you before the Father” (Matthew 10:32)

And Paul recorded in Romans 10:9

That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

If you believe in Jesus, have repented of

your sins, and are ready to confess Jesus as the Son of God, read on …

The fourth step on the road to your personal salvation is to be

Baptized

into Christ

Jesus said,

Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved…” (Mark 16:16)

Peter preached,

Repent and be baptized for the remission of your sins…”

(Acts 2:38)

As illustrated in the drawing …

Just as Christ died on the cross, was buried and rose again,

For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,..”

(1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

We re-enact this Gospel when we are buried with Him in baptism, rising to new life.

(we are born again)

Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin—“

(Romans 6:3-6)
